History
Inaugurated the 4th of june 1972, the Parc des Princes stadium was endowed with a very avant-garde architecture for this period. Comfort and visibility were the key words of Roger Taillibert, the architect in charge of the project. In june 1974, the Paris Saint Germain became the resident club of this new stadium and decides to associate its image and history to the boundaries of this mythical place.
Architecture
In 1967, General Charles de Gaulle decides that the Parc des Princes stadium should be dedicated to the football and rugby games with a capacity of under 60 000 seats. Another stadium devoted to athletics should be build at the old pershing stadium site located at the city of Vincennes…
